The Database built these days includes maps dealing with subjects as settlements and their developing patterns, centers of pilgrimage and local ritual, centers of learning, concentration of religious groups over times. The maps are drawn and produced with the excellent Cartographic Laboratory at the Hebrew University and use advanced geographic information system (GIS) technology. This series of maps is attached a detailed annotated gazetteer that will help provide the detailed picture that we are aiming at.
